As per your query, in order to put a transparent overlay for text box/container in slider, we need to do quite a modifications
in styling which is not possible at the moment as it will also affect responsive of your site.

And sorry but in our theme, there is as such no option available to adjust the slider speed at the moment.

If in future, we update our theme with this option, we will let you know.

And could you please elaborate about featured image that you are not able to see??
